Star Wars: Across the Galaxy

Session 19
Repairs to be done

Summary

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away…

With Master Aeloff still recovering inside the YT-1200, Lyth brings The Siren back down to Rishi. As the party steps out across the hangar, they are able to see that what remains of the Rebel Cell has secured the landing zone for now.

Following the prevention of Aeloff’s assassination, Caius is granted a command position and given his first mission by Lt Nobbs. He is tasked with repairing the damaged YG-4210. After determining the extent of the damage, Fe Man and Caius set about looking for parts to repair the ship. Fe Man heads back to Lyth's YT-1200 and pulls out some redundant systems. When confronted by Lyth, he promises he'll make sure her ship flies exactly as it does not. She trusts his efforts and lets him continue to work. After applying these to the other ship, the controls are streamlined and improved. [Bithel's YG-4210 now has -2 handling, up from -3]

Upset at the loss of his ship, and the lack of incoming funds, Bithel vents his anger to a group of troopers. Ultimately reassured of his importance to the cause promised that his ship will be repaired, Bithel calms down and agrees to wait so long as Kaiden ensures that his ship is completed.

Unable to locate suitable parts in the hangar bay, the group heads into the marketplace not far from the spaceport to acquire steel plating. The group works together to work out a deal, and with some funding from Feros Acquisitions Inc. they are able to not only acquire the materials but also transportation. With the resources taken care of, they left the repairs in the capable hand of Fe Man. The Drall and his droids began to toil away at the hull of the ship. His combined efficiency with the droids even bought him some personal crafting time which he took advantage of.

With the repairs underway, Nobbs tasks the group with searching for the traitorous Twi’lek Boc'Itsa. Recalling the direction that the group saw him running in just before the attack on the hangar, the group sets off. Takeshi managed to track the traitor for several blocks before losing the trail. The group did however find a bracelet that he had been wearing previously, confirming that they were on the right track.

The Rebel cell deceived.

Summary

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away…

A Twi'lek named Boc'Itsa that was rescued from the cells aboard the refinery station informs the Rebel leadership that he may know a safe haven they can get to. The party lands on the planet Rishi after a long trip and numerous hyperspace jumps. Taking advantage of the opportunity to stretch their legs, the group heads into to town to pick up some much-needed supplies as well as acquire some information.

While seeking out information, Kaiden comes across Boc’Itsa and the two share a drink. Both Kaiden and Kayana discern that the Twilek is lying, and decide to follow him.

Once outside, the party reconvenes and shares their information. Kayana reveals that she had a vision regarding Boc’Itsa and that he would be leading enemies against them.

The group rushed back to the hangar to find it under attack. As they investigated the area, Lt. Gewob Nobbs was thrown across the hangar. The party rushed into Bithel’s ship to find several guardsmen dead on the ground. As they cleared the ship, a Devaronian Sith was discovered reactivating the carbonite container. Fe Man managed to stop the thawing process, and the group managed to fend off the Sith forcing him to retreat.

Upon reaching Master Aeloff’s chamber, they found him badly injured and barely breathing. Upon further investigation, they found the cockpit of the YG-4210 badly damaged by lightsaber strikes. The group then carried Aeloff to YT1300 and lifted off the planet to give the injured members time to heal.

Getting caught up

Summary

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away….

While on a scouting mission checking out a location retreived from the Striped Nexu ship, Tott Davip and his M3A were caught in a tractor beamed into an asteroid station owned by the very same Pirates. Lt. Nobbs deployed our heroes after receiving a holomessage demanding ransom for Tott's life.

After a brief passenger transfer to allow the mission to be deployed, the volunteers for the mission were gathered and quickly briefed by Lt. Nobbs. Fe Man, Felze, and Caius would form a small strike team and fly in with Lyth's YT-1200 to a small emergency airlock.

Tott was thrown into a makeshift brig where he met Adu'mai and Syv. The Shistavaren began to fiddle a claw into the manual lock and popped it open. Upon trying to free Adu'mai, she had the entire makeshift wall fall on her. This also freed Tott. The group began to run through the hallway where they were spotted. Running the other way, they ducked into a dead end room which also happened to be an armory.

The strike team landed with no resistance due to the prisoners attracting most of the station's small roster. Finding a computer terminal, Fe Man and his droid began to go to work. Gaining access to the system, they vented two mucks who were unlucky enough to walk by an airlock. Fe Man downloaded the map of the facility and made his way to the others. The rest of the group engaged with some tough gang members who appeared from around the corner. JR-V5-2 would not survive the encounter.

Fe Man showed up just as Syv had thrown one of her unique daggers at the group who had cornered them. Eliminating the group, they quickly regrouped and made their way to the hanger. Tott left for his ship and escaped successfully.

The group was presented with limited options as their escape window began to close. Would they free the other prisoners and help them escape, would they take a ship, or would they destroy the station?

Our heroes decided to free the prisoners and absorb them into the Rebel Cell.

Look at it!

Summary

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away….

Hyperspace travel ends to reveal a large green planet. With the Imperial probe droid being activated and the confirmation of its signal being sent out, the Rebel cell has taken the precautionary steps of becoming a mobile force. In what was a trade of incriminating knowledge for a few ships, our heroes devised a plan to make it appear the Rebels attacked Takobo City in the hope that when the Empire arrives, they will not consider the locals to be affiliated with them.

Our heroes are all aboard Lyth’s YT-1200 as she detaches from one of the other freighter ships. The holomonitor flickers on with the image of Lt. Nobbs.

He informs the team that he has a lead on where the cell could move to. In front of them lies the world of Siskeen, not far from Takobo, but out of the way enough for the Empire to not come looking. He explains Juma the Aqualish needs assistance. She is aware of the location of what she has described what Gewob believes to be an Imperial listening post. The catch though is that the Rebels need to help her find her brother.

Once planet-side, our heroes follow Juma through the thick forests and swamps. They are unsure of Juma leading them in the right direction but the group decides to not confront her directly about it.

They come upon a large building that does not look Imperial but instead looks to be made with local materials.

More to come….

Time to leave!

Summary

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away….

The chaos caused by the trip to the market has the complex on high alert. They believe you may have been followed back and the complex has been on guard ever since. The carbonite container sits blinking adjacent in a room next to the medical office. The imperial probe droid is now sitting in the garage with the speeders.

(Felze accidentically activates the probe droid, it is confirmed that the droid is able to send information out before being disabled)

(Lora and Felze extract incriminating data on Droggo the Hutt from the probe droid. The heroes think of a plan to use the data to help get them and the Rebel cell off-world.)

(Felze is able to extract Striped Nexu pirate locations from the Barloz-class ship's navicomputer)

(Cittra and Caius use the newly acquired information to warn the local defense forces that are neutral against the Empire to convince an Ithorian Defense Force captain and friend of Lt. Nobbs to stage a supposed Rebel attack to convince the incoming Imperials that they are not aligned. The captain agrees. and is able to grant 3 ships.)

(To be safe, the group recruits Bithel the Ithorian with his restored YG-410 to transport some of the Rebels off-world.)

(As the heroes execute their plan, they are met with an unexpected level of pushback. Additionally, sniper fire rings out upon Felze who is more than aware that this could not come at a worse time.)

(Hal misses his target and shoots the door, leaving Felze on the other side. Felze quickly hacks the door to get it open.)

(Tott hops into the M3A and takes off. He maneuvers the ship to eliminate the sniper upon the hanger bay rim with ease.)

(Cittra and Caius hop into their newly acquired ships and fly off. Rax picks up the remainder of the group in his YT-1300.)

Mind giving me a hand?

Summary

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away….

A few days have passed since the raid upon the warehouse and the acquisition of the group’s first starship, a Barloz-class freighter. Mechanics such as Rajoln, Gumbrai, and Fe Man have each spent some time ensuring the vehicle is space worthy.

Lt. Nobbs is elated about the fabricated plasteels have provided the Rebels with an injection of raw materials to use or sell. He has provided Feros Acquisitions Inc. with 5,000 credits. The other notable haulage from the ship was a deactivated imperial probe droid and an occupied carbonite container. The probe droid is sitting in the Lt. Nobbs’ office and the carbonite container has since been moved to a room adjacent to the makeshift infirmary.

In all that has happened, a new face has appeared in the complex. An eyepatched Aqualish named Juma seems to have been spending a lot of time in Gewob Nobb’s office.

Individually, some of the group tries to talk to Lt. Nobbs but he does provides them with short answers as he is currently busy in a meeting the the Aqualish and Master Aloff in his makeshift office.

Our heroes meet together in the room that Fe Man has been using as a pseudo-workshop. Fe Man convinces the group that he was not able to construct an arm for Felze and will need to find a black market contact. After Felze's sacrifice in acquiring the mission, the group agrees as they have other things in the market they would like to purchase.

While the others take the V35 landspeeder to the market, Ja'han and Kaden pay for a cab. Along the ride, they become acquanited with each other learning the reasons why they fight for the cause and have a brief discussion on morals.

After some shopping, the group finds a Gran Doctor named Nun'Dra working out of a clinic. He explains to them that he is just trying to provide quality healthcare to those who need it but sometimes has to deal with those who try to push them around. He agrees to help the heroes if they remain in touch should he need something.

As he goes into a back room, Nun'Dra explains that on Takobo, the cybernetics industry is illegal. He unfurls a blanket revealing a number of cybernetic parts. Some of them appear damaged but Fe Man states it should be no issue salvaging them into a working unit. Little does the group know that they are under a watchful eye.

The group is ambushed as Kaden is punched in the face in the middle of the busy and crowded market street. As the crowd disperses, more groups of thugs reveal themselves wielding rifles. The fully armored figure's speech is muffled from inside of his helmet, "This is the last time you mess with the Striped Nexu."

Our heroes quickly react to the threat. Ja'han uses the force to spur his group to a heightened level of focus. The combat seems to slow down a bit for everyone as the Drall takes out his heavily modified pistol and incapacitates the fully armored warrior with ease. Caius then does the same to one of the groups firing as them.

The group was so focused on fighting that they failed to realized they were still standing in the middle of the market street. As they are barraged with fire, they are too distracted to notice a speeder going full speed into our group of heroes. All but Felze manage to avoid being hit by the speeder. The Zabrak rolls off the hood of the speeder, taking the impact with an alien grace and landing on his feet.

Out of the speeder jumps new foes. Meanwhile, Planetary Defense Force units can be heard in the background and they are only getting louder. As the remaining group of ambushers is dealt with, the blinking lights on the Defense Force speeders can now be seen.

Caius, Felze, and Fe Man jump into the speeder and take off. The defense forces take pursuit! The others split up, losing any pursuers in alleyways and blending in with the street crowds on adjacent streets. Caius expertly eludes the officers with the help of a precise shot by Fe Man to take out the engines on one of the chasing land speeders.

Once back at the complex, Fe Man is quickly able to create a cybernetic arm tailored just for Felze. As he goes under the knife for surgery, the Drall and the medical droid install the arm and also sure up some of his internal damage his body has been suffering.

As they wrap up, a voice can be heard over the complex's comm system. It is Lt. Nobbs and he has requested everyone join him in the briefing room…

Operation Stolen Wings is born

Summary

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away….

After crashing the fundraiser, our group has decided to lay low for a couple of days as they plan to use the information Genk provided. He tells them of a warehouse in the factory district of the city of Jitar, also on Takobo.

Caius’ words of encouragement have emboldened Lt. Gewob Nobbs to explore new but dangerous opportunities.  He has agreed that the Rebel Cell will begin immediately in the pursuit of obtaining vessels to serve as an impromptu naval force. After he consults with Master Aloff, the Rebel Cell leader, they decide that the best course of action is to pair Caius with another rebel to lead the initiative: That Rebel is a Twi’lek namd Cittra. She is brought up to speed on the information Genk has provided.

Having recently been promoted to senior deckman and posted in Takobo City, Cittra meets with Caius in the makeshift briefing room to quickly discuss what they will do with their new initiative. Operation Stolen Wings is born.

The group comes together in the briefing room and the Cittra uses her military experience to create a plan of action to begin moving in the right direction. Orders are given.

Takeshi and Felze go to scout to the facility. The others head to the market to ready for the warehouse assault. Arriving at the facility, the two notice a ship inside the hanger and many worker droids organizing and loading crates.

Caius, Hal, Kaden, and Cittra establish meet up with An Ithorian junker named Bithel and establish him as a parts contact after having a great discussion about his hobby of restoring a YG-4810* he has been working on.

After this, the group notices they are being followed by two human males. They confront them and they turn out to be petty thieves. Having been unsuccessful at finding a backpack in the market, the hands the man credits in exchange for his backpack and to let them leave. The man, having enough of this world, agrees.

The group all jumped into the speeder along with RAX. He watched the speeder as the group prepared to assault the warehouse. As they were assembling, a patrol saw them and confronted them with guns drawn. The players deceived them enough to get the drop, quickly felling the patrol.

They moved to the window and Felze jimmied it opened. As they got inside, the commlink screeched requesting to report in immediately! On the other end of the warehouse, they could see some armed guards run outside to look for their fallen patrol.

Inside the warehouse, the characters went about accomplishing their task of finding the advanced targeting array. Felze hacked into an inventory terminal and was able to locate the location of the ata cache. In retribution, he also activated the self-destruct protocol to light up the warehouse. He intended to give themselves more than enough time to exit the facility but found that the time cut itself in half. They were not on a much shorter clock! The warehouse began to blurt out alarms and notices to evacuate the premesis.

Kaiden made a b-line for the ship, running into a gruff-looking Rodian who immediately drew his pistol and fired at him. He took his shotgun and put the Rodian on his ass! At this point, a batch of guards spotted the group and began to open fire on them. Caius took a second to find the arrays, activated the repulsor sled, and started to make his way towards the ship. Takeshi's efforts of finding the arrays led him to instead find a deactivated imperial probe droid. With a swift kick, he was able to get the repulsor lift working on it. Cittra distracted the guards as they started to direct their fire at her. She took a terrible shot to the leg, hobbling her for the remainder of the encounter.

As the firefight continued, the Rodian shot the loading ramp console, causing it to begin to close. All but Felze were able to reach it before it became dangerous to squeeze through. With it being the only way he saw out, Felze tried to make it through the gap. As the dock closed, the Zabrak nearly passed out from the pain as the ramp closed on his right shoulder and arm.  Cittra instinctively went for the cockpit and immediately took off.

As the Rodian lay dead and the group begins to assess their current status while in spaceflight, Caius checks the hold of the ship and finds crates filled with fabricated plasteels. In the corner, he sees a large rectangular object with a blinking light. On closer inspection, it is a block of frozen carbonite and the blinking light indicator is showing that it is currently full…

Falling for it in Takobo City

Summary

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away….

The group has set up corporation Feros Acquisitions Inc.  as a means to separate themselves from causing any further damage to the Rebel cell on Takobo. As the Rebels will be indirectly funding the cell, the organizations account has received 10,000 credits.

Lt. Gewob Nobbs, a Sullustan tactical officer is still in need of an advanced targeting array. He firmly believes that there is an impending fight with the Empire and the Rebel cells need to get their hands on whatever they can if they plan to stand a chance.

The characters have also managed to make an enemy of Hutt Droggo of the Striped Nexu pirate clan who seems to be aware of Felze’s past. In an effort to cool the situation, Lt. Nobbs has given the option for the players to handle a task off-world, as well as possibly give them a chance to find the targeting array.

Felze and Caius decide that they want to stay and get retribution against the Hutt for killing Felze's friend, Mubon. Felze begins to research where they can find information oh Hutt Droggo. Meanwhile, the Trandoshan named Kashan introduces himself to Caius as he works on polishing his pistols for sale.

Out front of the complex, Dorian finishes work on the front of the building and notices Lyth come down the landing ramp of her YT-1300 with a pistol to the back of a Drall. The Drall introduces himself as Keno and says he can fix just about anything but is really hungry. Gewob steps outside for air and notices the commotion. He challenges the Drall to fix an issue with Lyth's ship. After some food, the task is complete.

The commotion brought about by the Drall seemed to have lured everyone outside as they began to discuss what they wanted to do. A fundraiser was happening at an upscale hotel in Takobo City but they would need more information. The group needed to stop at the market beforehand so they would hope to find the information they needed there.

After some buying and selling, the group would find a Human named Genk. A small knick knack shop seller soon began to tell the group about how those in the market district were not fond of the Hutt's strong arm tactics. Asking about the advanced targeting array they still needed, Genk told them he would need something done for him and he could likely find out where the Hutt keeps it.

Some scouting work ahead of time allows the Drall to get access codes to the elevator and floor map.

The group gets clothing to fit the event and heads on in. Kashan and Dorian infiltrate the actual gala while the Drall heads upstairs. Keno ends up robbing one of the suites of some jewelry. Dorian convinces the campaign manager, a Human named Mr. Renfrew, to come up to his room to discuss a possible business venture post-political campaign. He is interested and so he agrees to meet him once the gala is over.

The Drall prepares the room where they plan to ambush by finding an unoccupied room and checking Dorian in under his alias "Javier". Mr Renfrew shows up with backup but the group takes them upstairs regardless.

In the room, Dorian manages to lure him out onto the balcony. After further chatting, Keno cut the power and Dorian sent Mr. Renfrew over the edge, falling 48 stories to his demise. A loud crash is heard as the body of the once esteemed campaign manager lie limp in the impact outline of his own body against the crushed-in roof of Hutt Droggo's luxury speeder. The security forces having failed at their job, hold nothing back against the group now backed up by Felze and Caius who were behind a closed door spooning in the bed of the suite.

Kashan shot Caius fairly badly and caused him to pass out. Having mopped up the guards, the group collected themselves and the unconscious Caius and headed out a freight entrance provided by the Drall.

The group headed back to their contact, Genk. Happy to see them, he began to tell them of their new lead…

It's my gift in a box!

Summary

Bez and Felze return to the complex from our last session with unpleasant news. Gewob is outraged at the results of the group's action and states they need to figure out a way to fix the problem they brought on themselves.

Felze's friend head is delivered to him in a box unknowingly by Tott. As the Kyuzo goes to leave, he seens two V-35 courier speeders pull up with three goons each of varying races. They begin throw a stun grenade into the lobby of the apartment complex that acts as the Rebel Cell's HQ on Takobo.

The group dealt with the attack formidably. Cassandra took shot the grenade on the belt of one of the hunters, causing an explosion at the front of the lobby and damaging the building. Gewob Nobbs laid into the group verbally as they have now pissed off Hutt Droggo and have now also damaged the building. It is suggested and agreed on that the group start a front so as to separate themselves from the Rebel cell, which certainly does not need a pirate gang on their heels while they are trying to grow.

The characters immediately think to sell one of the speeders to get an injection of credits. They reach Gorman's speeder emporium and talk to a human with slick-backed hair who turns out to be Gorman himself.

The players had obtained a data stick from the previous fight and would find out, to no surprise, that the goons were hired by Hutt Droggo. They also found some banking information. Felze was able to check the holonet to find a lead on the Hutt's place of residence, a palace-like villa in the inner ring of Takobo City.

Unleash the beast!

Summary

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away….

The Rebel cell on Takobo is quietly celebrating their recent successful operation as Takoba City is never the wiser. The prototype stolen by Gumbrai, Fe Man, and BZ-55 is now being researched for use against the Empire. LT. Gewob Nobbs’ suspicions were right in that the corporation who created the illegal prototype , TakTech Co., would not let this become public knowledge for fear of hurting its stockholders.

As Takeshi and Ja’han begin to learn from their new Jedi master, they are interrupted by LYTHARIEL‘s YT-1200 landing quickly. As the loading ramp is lowered, a medical team receives a Zabrak male.  Once he recovers, he introduces himself as Felze. Another new face toTakobo, a Rodian named Bez has been hired to provide some extra skill in handling the task.

In the downtime, LT. Gewob has asked that you take the Zabrak  and show him around. He needs you to see if you can pick up a part at the local market. The part is an Advanced Targeting Array…

Prior to the events…

Drifting in space just outside Hutt Space with the life support system dwindling and the transponder running, Felze's need for food overcomes him and he passes out. He is awoken by the loud noise of metal on metal as he sees his escape pod being picked up by a ship. He briefly believes that the pirates have found him but in his weak state, you accept your fate. A female human pilot introduces herself as Lythariel. Felze gives a laugh before passing out once again.

On Takobo, Master Aloff has been training Takeshi and Ja'han in the ways of the force. Ja'han continues to reach outward with the force, testing his limits and restraining himself from affecting others in negative ways. Takeshi looks inward to balance himself with the surrounding force.

A transport ship is received at a landing pad in the in the Takobo City spaceport. As the loading ramp hits the pad's surface, the passengers begin to flock out. A green Rodian with a slinged pack over his shoulder separates himself from the group. Looking around, he feels the warmth of the star's rays on his skin as he lets out a deep sigh. "Another planet…" he thinks to himself.

-———————————-

Gewob informs the group that he is after an uncommon item, an advanced targeting array. The group head out into Takobo city to find their item. While doing so, Takeshi attempts to find parts to build a lightsaber hilt but is unsuccessful. Bez almost gets in a fight with a merchant. Ja'han tries to talk down the merchant but he fails. Not wanting to attract further attention to themselves, the group carries on.

With the party failing to find what they are looking for, Felze manages to find Mubon, a Togrutan, he recognizes from his days as a pirate. As they briefly reconnect, he takes him aside and asks him if he knew where he could get an advanced targeting array. Mubon tells him he can get him a meeting with a Hutt but there's a catch: he's still a high ranking member in the Striped Nexu. After a conversation, Mubon had arranged a meeting for later that evening at a dance club owned by the Hutt called THE EDGE.

As the group split up, Takeshi and Ja'han went and consulted with Master Aloff, discussing how to handle what could be an upcoming mess. The Jedi told them to stay true to the force and to the disciplines they have been taught. The young apprentices would choose to later ignore this advice.

Bez and Felze decided to scout around and see what they could find out about the dance club as well as the Hutt. They discovered his name to be Hutt Druggoe, a major player in the Striped Nexu. With the constant turnover of the gang ranks, no one could really pinpoint where he would be. While they were asking around, word got out to the Hutt's men to keep an eye.

As the two neared the back entrance of the club, they attempted to break in to no success. While the two thought of what to do next, the door suddenly opened revealing two muscling Trandoshans. A short fight ensued but both Bez and Felze were captured and bound by net guns.

They were tossed into a room with no light. To their surprise, trandoshans had no stripped them of any of their equipment. They began to hear growling, hissing, and clawing on metal from the other side of the room, they decided to see if their comlinks were still working. Relaying their position to Ja'han and Takeshi, the two realized they now had a tougher task ahead of them.

The pair of apprentices reach the dance club in the early evening. A line outside the door has already formed. Ja'han makes his way to the front where he is greeted firmly by a Twi'Lek. After a back and forth about being on the guest list, the two are let in and told to check their weapons at the door.

In front of them in the dance floor with a DJ up on on a stage. To their right is the bar and the left is a raised VIP area with a stairway leading up to the second floor. The stairway has a protocol droid in front of it. Knowing they need to approach the Hutt, they begin to make their way towards the droid.

The droid asks for their names but does not recognize it against his internal list. The droid calls its master and seems frantic at what is internal comms system is saying. Informing the two to follow it, the droid leads them to a hallway where they are abruptly flanked by two Trandoshans.

The brutes force the two characters into the same dark room. Turning on the lights, Bez and Felze are briefly blinded while what reveals itself to be a pair of Nexu clamors its cage at the sudden change of environment. Ja'han, recognizing these henchman are not the brightest, goads one of them to charge at him. He misses his attack and gets clawed by getting too close to the Nexu cage. Bez wastes no time at all and eliminates both of them with a few shots of his blaster.

Takeshi picks up one of the blasters and releases the Nexu while the group hide in a supply room. As they hear screams of the kitchen staff getting slaughtered, one of the chefs finds his escape into the supply room they are hiding in. He is too panicked to say anything of value to them and the group decides they need to get out of there while they have the distraction.

Heading down another stairway, they stealthily try to sneak their way out. As the Nexu begin to rip into the crowd, the young Jedi are conflicted with guilt and leave behind the stage and out of the exit.
